Arlington Center for Dance has several options available for adults to take class. Adults may enroll for the entire semester (least expensive option), purchase a 10 or 5-class card, or just take on a walk-in basis.  Professional or Center Dance Company member alum, may dance at a special rate, see our brochure for current rates.

Youth students register for the entire semester. Students in the Junior, senior or conservatory divisions register for the whole academic year, September through June. Installment payments are available.  Young students may pay for a trial walk-in class to determine placement. See the current brochure for all applicable fees.

Enrollment

Enrollment for classes is on a first-come, first-served basis. Class sizes are limited. New students are accepted throughout the semester on a prorated basis. Students age 15 and above may take adult classes (except for Adult Jazz). We accept cash or checks. Payments may be mailed or dropped off at the front desk.

Switching Classes

Students may switch classes. However, the student is responsible for any additional tuition resulting from switching to a higher-tuition class. No refunds are provided from switching to a lower-tuition class.

Attendance/Punctuality and Make Ups

Absences for students under 18 should be called into the studio. Absences above the Creative Movement and Storytime level may be made up in another class any time during the semester.  Make ups are not available between family members. Makeups for children should be taken in an equivalent or lower–level class. Adults may choose what seems appropriate, including different classes such as stretch and Pilates. Please call our front desk if you have questions about what would be appropriate. Makeups do not need to be scheduled – please just check in at the front desk prior to the class being taken. Punctuality to class is very important in order to receive proper warm up and out of courtesy to the class. Adult students who are more than 10 minutes late will be invited to return for a makeup on another day. Youth dancers will be asked to observe.
